EuroSPI 2025 and ASA – Focus on Bridging Research and Industry

EuroSPI² 2025 will take place from 17-19 September in Riga and online, uniting researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers to advance Europe’s process improvement capabilities in systems, software, and services. The conference features 54 presentations across 4 parallel streams, 9 international keynotes, and 8 thematic areas, creating a comprehensive platform for knowledge exchange.

Since 2024, EuroSPI has been a full partner conference of the Automotive Skills Alliance (ASA), reflecting a shared vision: to connect technical innovation with workforce skills and training needs. This partnership ensures that outcomes of the conference go beyond research papers — reaching the practitioners, educators, and professionals who put new approaches into practice.

This collaboration highlights several strengths:

Bridging research and practice – By combining academic insights with applied case studies, EuroSPI² creates a dialogue that benefits both researchers and industry experts.

Strengthening workforce skills – Discussions on topics such as cybersecurity, functional safety, e-mobility, and standardisation are closely tied to the upskilling and reskilling needs across Europe’s mobility and manufacturing ecosystem.

Fostering European cooperation – The hybrid format and diverse thematic streams encourage participation from across countries and sectors, supporting the EU’s broader goals for digitalisation and green transition.

EuroSPI² 2025 represents a collaborative platform where research, practice, and skills development converge to support Europe’s transformation. For ASA, this partnership provides a vital channel to align innovation with workforce readiness, ensuring that European professionals have the competencies needed for the digital and green transition.

The Automotive Skills Alliance will continue building on these insights, developing collaborative projects, training programmes, and policy recommendations that strengthen the entire European mobility ecosystem.
