The Automotive Skills Alliance (ASA) is focused on the re-skilling and up-skilling of workers in the automotive sector, developing intelligence and fostering dialogue among all relevant partners and stakeholders in the sector, and supporting the elaboration of specific plans for re-skilling, up-skilling and training of workers in the EU automotive sector.

The ASA mission is to contribute to a better coordination of relationships at the European level of all the relevant national or regional stakeholders in automotive ecosystem, in order to ensure and develop a common platform for collaboration and best practice sharing across borders. In this regard, ASA intends to ensure continuous, pragmatic and sustainable cooperation on the skills agenda in the ecosystem.

A Skills Partnership for the Automotive Ecosystem

  • Pact for Skills is the first flagship action of the European Skills Agenda, firmly anchored in the principles of the European Pillar of Social Rights. It also supports the EU Industrial Strategy and the goals of the Green Deal and the digital transformation.
  • The goal of the Pact is to mobilise and incentivise private and public stakeholders to invest and take concrete action for the upskilling and reskilling of people of working age.
  • It is a shared engagement and approach to mobilise all stakeholders to invest in skills for the growth and sustainable development of private and public businesses of all sizes.
  • The Pact facilitates the launch of skills partnerships, in particular it aims to build large-scale multi-stakeholder skills partnerships addressing the needs of the 14 industrial ecosystems identified in the EU Industrial Strategy.

Strategic Collaboration

Strategic Cooperation on Regional Development

 

On the 9th of November 2023 in Pamplona, in the region of Navarra, Spain, the Automotive Regions Alliance (ARA), the Interregional Group “Future of the Automotive Industry” of the European Committee of the Regions (CoRAI), and the Automotive Skills Alliance (ASA) have jointly expressed the aim to cooperate towards a just and sustainable transition of European automotive regions by signing the Working Agreement. This strategic partnership embodies a collaborative approach to address the challenges of the automotive-mobility ecosystem related to skills and the need for a qualified workforce.

What we Provide

Skills Hub
The Skills Hub is a one stop shop for tranings in Automotive-mobility ecosystem and beyong with integrated framework for definition and recognition of job roles and skills/competence concepts using micro-credentials. The training courses linked and advertised by providers according to coherent structure and mapping exercise – more than 180 courses linked through the platform covering topics in the following areas:
Learning Platform
Online platform containing more than 55 online courses now and growing. The first set of training courses were developed by the ERASMUS+ co-funded project DRIVES, ALBATTS and other projects.

How we Connect

The regional implementation working group of ASA
The regional implementation working group provides a unique EU-wide cooperation of regions with a strong focus on automotive industries. It aims at exchanging good practices and intelligence and at creating a strong network among those regions.
